So many things are different between the States and Europe.

For starters, the conversion between Fahrenheit to Celsius, miles to meters, and 12hour clock to 24 hour clock are just a few of the small differences between Europe and America. Another very confusing part of living in Europe is that the street names are found, not on the corner of the streets like in America, but rather on the buildings on the street corner.

Moreover, the sense of security is totally different as well. In America if you are sitting with your friends and talking and then decide to get up to get a drink of water, for example, it is okay to leave your belongings with your friends. You trust that they won't steal from you in a 5minute period. However, in Europe that behavior is unheard of.

Also, Europe is known for their windy streets. In America they are known as alleys and only drug dealers and suspicious individuals are seen loitering these dismal corridors. However, in Europe these are common walkways and even have street names. When first arriving in Spain I was a little wary about walking through  these alleyways but I soon learned that it is not as dangerous as they might seem.
